In many applications Nedcam uses several foam types:
Styrofoam (EPS, XPS)
PU-foam
PVC foam, Corecell, Rohacell, etc.

Styrofoam
In most cases Nedcam applies Styrofoam. The abbreviation "EPS" is often used for this expanded polystyrene foam. This relatively cheap material can be shaped easily in a hot wire cutting machine or a milling machine to obtain 2D or 3D curved models. Moreover Nedcam reduces the waste after machining and even recycles where possible.

Apart from EPS there is also XPS. This extruded polystyrene. Due to the extrusion the spheres are deformed in long "wires". Although this material is more expensive the milling results are quite better.
